Hydration Project

Health4Kids team continues to encourage the avoidance of unhealthy lifestyles that may lead to serious health consequences in adulthood. For example, the primary health approach that encourages increase water intake among children and reduces sugar intake may reduce a child’s chances of developing Type 2 diabetes in adulthood. Furthermore, children’s brains would benefit from calmness due to proper hydration, thereby resulting in positive learning outcomes. Water sustains life and enables our body to carry out its function during the day. As children grow, it is paramount, they learn how vital water is to their bodies and environment. Children need to constantly re-hydrate as water is the primary way to regulate their body temperature. The purpose is to help facilitate alertness of children’s mental state for optimal learning at school by hydrating, increasing water intake to reduce a fluid loss (vital electrolyte) during physical activities

First Aid Box

Health4Kids Trust currently providing first aid boxes to public schools to assist school sick bays. This focuses on early intervention to prevent wound infection.

Washing Hands Unit

Health4Kids also provides a washing hands unit to assist personal hygiene in our selected schools. We encourage students to wash their hands after using the toilet or each activity, to prevent cross contaminations. According to the centers for Disease Control and Prevention, germs like Salmonella, E. coli, and norovirus can get onto your hands after using the toilet. At this period of COVID-19, it is important for children to upskill their personal hygiene, to avoid the risk of this infectious and deadly virus

Student Support Scheme (SSS)

SSS is a scholarship package set aside to support the less privileged students in public primary schools. The package includes all the necessary needs such as personal and educational materials that help students throughout the school session.

Mouth Hygiene

Health4kids Trust acknowledges the need to improve oral hygiene among school children. Therefore, we are in the process of embarking on creating awareness by promoting mouth hygiene in public primary schools.
